ESMOD KL LAUNCHED & FUTURISTIC FASHION WINNERS ANNOUNCED!

Our newest addition of Fashion Design & Pattern Making course joins the rest of our five diploma programmes as reflected through The One Academy’s primary belief in ‘Just World Class Results’. ESMOD Kuala Lumpur will not only provide opportunities as such but also to deliver a renowned fashion design programme as set by ESMOD International! A big round of applause!

ESMOD Kuala Lumpur is now part of the ESMOD international-network of 24 schools in 15 countries around the world. ESMOD Kuala Lumpur is here to provide an up-to-date fashion syllabus through its collaboration with world’s top fashion school, ESMOD Paris, established for over 170 years. In line with the academy’s philosophy of ‘Masters Train Masters’, The One Academy believes that to be a master, you have to be trained by the masters, resulting the academy to partner with the best- ESMOD Paris.

Delivering the opening speech was Loke Va Nee, Representative of Principal’s office, said “With a great working partner like ESMOD Paris, we plan to raise the standards of our local fashion graduates to a higher defining field. We envision to producing trendsetters in this region by providing quality fashion education in Malaysia,” The speech was followed by launching of multimedia 3D-mapping and then, an industry experience sharing by highly acclaimed Malaysian fashion designer Jonathan Cheng together with Head of ESMOD Kuala Lumpur Fashion Design department, Yen Yong.

Following the launching, the fashion design competition prize giving ceremony was held. Themed ‘Futuristic Fashion’, the Fashion Design Art Competition was organized by ESMOD KL to open its doors to young aspiring fashion designers to win prizes worth up to RM200, 000.

Principal Tatsun Hoi presented to the 1st prize winner, Aaron Yong, age 17 from Sabah, RM60, 000 ESMOD Kuala Lumpur The One Academy scholarship, trip to Paris, an Apple iPhone 4 plus a 6-month iFeel Magazine subscription; 2nd prize winner Heng Bowie, age 19 from Johor acquired scholarship worth RM30, 000 and an Apple iPad 2 and 3rd prize winner Wong Su Jean, age 18 from Selangor grabbed scholarship worth RM20, 000 and an Apple iPod Touch. Seven consolation winners received an ESMOD Kuala Lumpur The One Academy scholarship worth RM10, 000 each.

To conclude, ESMOD Kuala Lumpur aims to spread the knowledge of creating haute couture and teaching methodologies in fashion designing & pattern drafting as perfect as the French fashion. For starters, the fashion design competition ensured that students receive the chance to apply their creative skills and creative thinking, as reflected through The One Academy’s primary belief in ‘Just World Class Results’.
